Try to think of me throughout the day. My presence by your side is both a promise and a protection. Just before returning to heaven, I declared to my disciples: I am with you always, until the end of the world. This promise is addressed to everyone who follows me, without exception. The promise of my presence is powerful protection. Your journey on earth is punctuated with traps. Many voices are fighting for your attention, seeking to lure you onto their path. Just a few meters off the right path lie the pits of self-pity and despair and the plateaus of pride and willpower own.

If you look away from me and take another route, you are putting yourself in serious danger. Even well-meaning friends can lead you astray, if you let them take my rightful place. The best way to stay on the path of life is to stay focused on myself. The perception of my presence is the best protection. See: Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 12:1-2.
