Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I hope this letter finds you and your families well. As you know, Christmas is typically a joyous time for our ministry. However, the current situation in Haiti is dire. The country is completely closed off to the international community until February 2025.

We are facing immense challenges: widespread hunger, destroyed hospitals, rampant crime, and a collapsed economy. Markets are closed, and basic necessities like gas and public transportation are unavailable. The majority of schools are shut down, but our school in Latremblay, Croix-des-Bouquets remains open.

In response to these challenges, we’ve increased our enrollment from 450 to 850 students, including many pregnant women, young children, and elderly individuals seeking refuge on our campus. We’ve also implemented an online learning program to prepare students for upcoming exams.

To ensure the success of this program, we urgently need used or new iPads, Android phones, and laptops. Your generous donation of these devices would make a significant impact on our students’ education.

Furthermore, the severe famine has forced us to provide at least one hot meal per day for our students. Your support during this Christmas season will enable us to continue providing this essential service.
