Help me to speak the truth in front of the strong and not to lie to attract the applause of the weak. If You give me money, don’t take my happiness. And if You give me strength, do not take away my power to reason. If You give me success, do not take away my humility. If You give me humility, do not take away my dignity. Help me to know the other side of things, and do not allow me to accuse my adversaries of being traitors because they do not share my point of view. Teach me to love others as I love myself, and to judge myself as I judge others.

Don’t let me get drunk with success if I achieve it, nor let me despair if I fail. Instead, make me remember that failure is the test that leads to success.
Teach me that tolerance is the highest degree of strength and that the desire for revenge is the first manifestation of weakness. If You strip me of riches, leave me hope. And if You strip me of success, leave me the strength of will to be able to overcome failure. If You strip me of the gift of health, leave me the grace of Faith.

If I wrong anyone, and if anyone wrongs me, give me the strength of forgiveness and clemency. My God, if I forget You, You, don’t forget me!
